Installing the OLAP Option and Sample Schema

The OLAP option is installed automatically as part of a basic installation of Oracle Database. The instructions in this guide are for Oracle Database Release 12c.

Two sample schemas are available from the Oracle website, which you can use to try the examples:

• GLOBAL schema is used in the examples in this book:

• OLAPTRAIN schema is used in the Oracle by Example tutorials:

  http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/products/warehouse/olap/olaptrain_install.zip
